Until 1854, the Maison Gagnerot, already situated in Ladoix, was set up on the road to Beaune, now the RN 74. The old buildings have been preserved and are now home to two small shops.
At that time, Jean-Baptiste Gagnerot decided to expand and built the present day house together with a cellar under a winery, in the locality known as "Les Champs Ramés".
In 1981, Roger Capitain and his sons decided to double the surface area of the building and built a 30 metre long cellar, with stones originating from the demolition of Beaune's prison.
The new offices, the exportation premises, and the wine pickers' area, make it possible to work efficiently all year long.
