A wine that comes from a marly and chalky soil from the Later Bathonian era. It gives out red fruit aromas (raspberry). A wine both fleshy and elegant.

Le Ladoix

15 to 40 year old vines, in 6 plots

Situated on the lower part of the hillside, it owes its cassis or garnet-red colours to the reddish soils which combine limestone, clay, and smithereens / fragments of flint limestone. In the mouth, it is rather soft / tender but sometimes be masculine and robust thanks to its good tannic structure.

MONOPOLE 30 year old vines

This gravelly, chalky clay-like soil from the Bajocian era, on top of fossilised scree made of white oolite (south end of the Côte de Nuits), produces structured wines with black fruit, cassis and blackberry aromas. Robuist, structured, full of sap the first few years, it becomes racy and elegant after 4-or 5 years.

Chalky, clay-like soil, on cracked layers, from the Bathonian era together with irregular gravel. With its intense fruit aromas (cherry), it seduces with its harrnony.

Le Savigny 1er Cru "Les Charnières"

Soil composed of silt, clay and limestone. earth made of gravel and alluvial deposit. Delicate wines with flowers aromas (violet). It is precociously ripe, and delicately elegant.

Chalky, clay-like soil from the Oxfordian era with red clay and gravel. Elegant wines with spicy and red fruit aromas, with a good structure and a good length.

Chalky, clay-like soil from the Middle Oxfordian era with marly limestone. Robust and fleshy wines with many fruits flavours and elegance. Generously powerful, after 5 years maturing, they get a charming fullness.

Chalky, clay-like soil from the Argovian era with grey clay. This wine is masculine, robust, well constituted, and it stands up to bottle ageing. It is full of black fruit aromas which combine power and elegance.

Le Corton "Les Renardes"

Grown in a soil younger than that of the Corton (Later Oxfordian), this wine is more elegant, wilder, more spicy, and of a great aromatic complexity (musk, game, fur). Ample and well balanced wine, which will charm you.

Les Echezeaux Grand Cru

Chalky soil with fossils (entorques) from the Bajocian era mixed with dark red clay, and flat stones (laves). A rich and well balanced wine with great character, and with black fruits and flowers aromas. Both powerful and elegant.

Le Clos Vougeot Grand Cru

Surface area : 17 a 12

28 year old vines

Vineyard situated in the upper part of the clos. Same soil as Les Echezeaux with heavier earth containing iron.
Robust and powerful wine, with black fruit aromas. After 10 to 15 years of maturing made possible by a good tannic structure, aromas of candied fruits and liquorice stand out.
